The process is as follows: a special hydraulic press is used to inject liquid into the T-shaped diameter tube blank, and the tube blank is extruded through the synchronous intermediate movement of the two horizontal side cylinders of the hydraulic press. After the tube blank is extruded, the volume becomes smaller, and the internal liquid of the tube blank becomes smaller and the pressure becomes larger. When the pressure required for the expansion of the t-shaped branch is reached, the metal material flows out along the mold cavity under the dual action of the side cylinder and the liquid pressure in the tube blank, causing the branch to expand.

The t-shaped hydraulic bulging process can be formed at one time with high production efficiency. both the main pipe and the shoulder wall thickness of the t were increased. Due to the large tonnage of equipment required for the smooth T-type hydraulic bulging process, it is mainly used in the manufacture of T-type with standard wall thickness less than DN400 in China. After heating, the tube blank is put into the forming mold, and the mold of the stretching branch is installed in the tube blank. Under pressure, the pipe blank is compressed in the radial direction, and the metal flows in the direction of the branch in the radial compression, and the branch is formed under the stretching of the mold. The whole process is formed by the radial compression of the tube blank and the stretching process of the branch part. Unlike the hydraulically expanded T-tee, the metal in the hot-pressed T-branch is compensated by the radial motion of the pipe, so it is also called the radial compensation process.

After heating, the T-shape is pressed, so the tonnage of equipment required for material forming is reduced. Hot pressing has a wide range of adaptability to materials and is suitable for low carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel materials. In particular, large diameter, pipe wall thickness of the T-piece, usually use this forming process.
